Editorial Standards

Country music runs on trust: between artists and fans, and between a station and its listeners. These are the rules we hold ourselves to.

How we choose the music

  • Songs are chosen by our programming team. Airplay is never sold and never part of an advertising deal.
  • Independent artists can submit original music. We consider original songs from touring artists who can show where they’ve played. Every submission is reviewed against the same standards: songwriting, performance, production and fit with the station.
  • One submission each month is chosen as our Featured Artist. Listener response decides whether it stays in rotation.

How we report

  • Every artist profile and guide carries the name of the person who wrote it and the person who checked it. Meet them on our team page.
  • Facts come from primary sources: artists’ official websites and label biographies, the Grand Ole Opry, the Country Music Association, the Academy of Country Music, the Recording Academy and Billboard. We link to them.
  • Dates that change, like tour dates, releases and awards, show when we last checked them. Concert listings are rechecked  every month.
  • We don’t copy other publications’ text. Quotes are short, attributed and linked.
  • AI-assistance policy —  AI tools research and rechecked through artists website tour posts and human intern checks the result before publishing.

Corrections

Spot something wrong? Email info@wildcountrymusic.radio with the page link, or use the contact form. We review every report and aim to correct confirmed errors within a few business days. Significant corrections are noted at the end of the article with the date.

Advertising and sponsored content

  • Advertising pays for the station. It never decides what we play or what we write.
  • Sponsored placements say so: Sponsored or Presented by [brand], at the top of the content and on every module.
  • Paid links carry `rel=”sponsored”`.
  • Product reviews in our Lifestyle Showcase say whether the product was loaned, gifted or paid for…
  • Brands we won’t run: N/A
  • Full commercial terms: NextWave Advertising Order Terms. Advertisers start here.

Listener dedications

Dedications and messages appear on our site and may be read on air. “Every dedication is reviewed by our team before it’s published. We remove promotional messages, personal information and anything hateful or explicit.”
